These Terms of Service govern your purchase and use of Japanese app localization services from Artefact Inc. ("we", "us") via localizedforjapan.com. By purchasing a package, you agree to these terms.
Services
We provide fixed-scope localization packages — Store Listing Localization, Full App Localization, and the Embedded Partner plan — as described on our site at the time of purchase.
Payment
Prices are listed in US dollars (USD) and charged through Stripe at the time of purchase. Prices are final and no additional tax is added at checkout. You are responsible for any taxes that may apply in your own jurisdiction.
Embedded Partner plan
The Embedded Partner plan is billed annually at $3,000 USD, paid in advance. It renews automatically each year unless you cancel at least 30 days before the renewal date. The first month of the plan includes Full App Localization (a $1,500 value).
Refunds and cancellations
All fees are non-refundable. Because work begins shortly after purchase and is produced to your specification, payments for the one-time packages (Store Listing Localization and Full App Localization) are not refundable once made. For the Embedded Partner plan, cancelling stops future annual renewals; fees already paid for the current term are non-refundable.
Delivery
Stated turnaround times (for example, 3 or 10 business days) begin once you provide the required materials. They are targets, not guarantees, and depend on timely input from you.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate source content and product context, and for having the rights to any materials you send us.
Intellectual property
On full payment, the delivered localized copy and assets are yours to use. We may reference the engagement in our portfolio and marketing unless you ask us in writing not to.
Confidentiality
We keep your unreleased product materials confidential and use them only to deliver the service.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the services is limited to the fees you paid for the relevant package.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance over any dispute arising from them.
